I’m really excited about this year’s South by Southwest Interactive, even more so because I’m a student finalist in the Web Awards! Being in the student top five is unbelievable - I didn’t expect to place at all. I really appreciate everyone who commented and emailed over the last 10 months, its a real motivation for people to react to what I design and write.

This year will be my second time at SXSW, following an amazing SXSW 2006. Last year I was surprised just how approachable and level-headed everyone I met was - it was really refreshing. This year I look forward to seeing everyone again. Oh, and bowling! Thanks Faruk for letting me sign up to bowl with the iTeam.

People’s Choice Award
I have no chance whatsoever of winning, but you might want to vote - even if it’s not for me. There’s some great finalists this year including some of my favorites - Superfluous Banter, Vitamin, and ISO 50.

The Web Awards
